Welcome to
Manufactured Home Residents
for Change

We believe in taking action with urgency and care to serve seniors who need us most. Help us protect and preserve your right to live in your home in your retirement community with the peace of mind that your fixed income can financially support you and your lifestyle.

Our Story began in June of 2023 in our 55+ mobile home park. Without notice our lot rents were increased by a substantial amount causing all of the senior residents/homeowners to lose thousands of dollars of equity in their homes. This injustice raised a red flag, so a few residents formed a committee to research the mobile home park industry, learn about the property management company that raised our rent, and studied the Arizona Mobile Home Park Residential Landlord and Tenant Act. We gathered facts and had a professional market report compiled that compared our market values with the surrounding markets that we were compared to. We had a meeting with upper management of the property management company and presented our findings to them. Thankfully, they realized that there was a mistake in the recent lot rent increase, so they reversed the lot rent back to the previous lot rent amount. From that point forward along with all of the research completed, we realized there are many more issues to deal with when living in a 55+ mobile home park so we formulated our organization, MHRC, to help as many seniors as we can.

MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD

Address your concerns to elected politicians and officials such as our U.S. President, state senators, state governors, and state legislators regarding a long overdue rent cap for seniors on fixed incomes living in mobile home parks. At MHRC, we are proposing that landlords cannot raise the annual rent increase more than 50% of the annual cost of living increase.

Our Residents Say

image2.jpg
We reside in a 55+ community in Arizona and pay lot rent. Our home was up for sale. We lost that sale due to an absurd lot rent increase. Thanks to Manufactured Home Residents for Change (MHRC) for their drive, dedication, and determination they not only resolved a decrease in lot rents for new buyers but also a credit due to the new owners that purchased during this duration. So a huge THANK YOU! For you will accomplish so much communities in Arizona and throughout the states.

Respectfully, Phyllis & Terry Saper
